Conditions de stage

ENGLISH FOLLOWS

Un stage, c’est:

Une période de travail professionnel incluant des tâches et responsabilités de type: gestion, analyse, critique, recherche, synthèse, résolution de problèmes, et/ou pouvoir de recommandation, etc.

Durée: 3 mois minimum ou 12 semaines (peut être prolongé sous certaines conditions).

Régime: Temps plein, minimum 30 h/semaine ou temps partiel (minimum de 360 heures).

Moment: En tout temps, nos candidates, candidats sont disponibles à l’année.

Rémunération:  À discuter avec la candidate, candidat (à titre indicatif, l’Université verse 21$/h aux étudiantes, étudiants de niveau maîtrise qu’elle embauche pour ses propres besoins).

Comment obtenir un stagiaire:

1. Proposer un projet de stage en environnement (mandat, tâches, conditions offertes, profil recherché) à l’agente, agent de stage pour approbation;
2. Sélectionner des étudiantes, étudiants à partir de la liste des candidates, candidats disponibles;
3. Demander les curriculum vitae des candidates, candidats intéressants.

AN INTERSHIP IS:

A period of professional work with tasks and responsibilities such as: management, analysis, critical review, research, synthesis, problems resolution, and/or power of recommendation, etc.

Terms:  3 months minimum (minimum of 360 hours or 30 hours/week for 12 weeks)

Working conditions:  Full time, minimum of 30 hours/week, or part time (360 hours minimum)

Period:  At any time

Salary:  To be discussed with the trainee (as a reference, a masters student is payed an hourly wage of $15-20 at UQAM)

How to take on a trainee:

Procedure:

1. Offer an internship project (mandate, tasks, general terms, required profile)
2. Pre-select students in the profiles list obtained from the internship coordinator
3. Consult the resumes and organize interviews with the most interesting applicants
4. Choose one trainee and offer him or her the internship

Conditions:

1. The organization must submit an internship project on one or more environmental issues, subject to approbation by the professor responsible for the internships.
2. The organization must give to the trainee tasks and responsibilities of superior level: management, analysis, critical review, research, synthesis, problems resolution, recommendations, etc.
3. The organization must integrate the trainee into a multidisciplinary team or give him or her the opportunity to work with professionals from several disciplines.
4. The organization must associate a professional from his staff with the trainee to provide him a minimum of supervision.
5. The organization must assess the trainee’s performance at the end of the internship.
